Update and manage student requests as a WBL Admin

Once a student has been set up with, completed, or canceled an Opportunity, update their request status to easily keep track of, and report on, progress.

Update a student's request status

To update an individual student's request status:

  1. Log into the WBL Admin workspace.

  2. In the left menu, click Opportunities, and select Requests.

  3. Tick the box of the name of the student whose status you'd like to update.
  4. Click Change status.

  5. Select the new status. Your options are: 
    • Requested
    • Setup underway
    • Application submitted
    • Scheduled
    • Hired/Selected
    • Canceled
    • Completed

  6. Click Apply.
    • The status will immediately show for the student in their Xello account.

Update multiple student requests

To update the request status of multiple students at once:

  1. Log into the WBL Admin workspace.

  2. In the left menu, click Opportunities, and select Requests.

  3. Click the checkbox beside each student whose status you'd like to update.

  4. From the top of the list, click Change Status.

  5. Select the new status. Your options are: 
    • Requested
    • Setup underway
    • Application submitted
    • Scheduled
    • Hired/Selected
    • Canceled
    • Completed

  6. Click Apply.
    • The status will immediately show for the student in their Xello account.

Add requests on behalf of students

As a WBL Admin, you can add a request for an Opportunity on a behalf of a student.

To make a request for an Opportunity on behalf of a student:

  1. Log into the WBL Admin workspace.

  2. In the left menu, click Opportunities, and select Requests.

  3. Click the Add Request link.

  4. Enter the name of the student. Auto-fill will suggest students as you type.
    • Multiple students can be added by typing and selecting the students, or by clicking Select students to pull up the student list.

  5. Enter the Opportunity name. Auto-fill will suggest existing opportunities as you type.
  6. Select a Status.
  7. Add Total hours if necessary.
  8. Click Save.
