AVID Elective Standards and Xello

Xello’s future readiness model helps educators meet the AVID Elective Standards for grades 6-12.

AVID Elective standards are broken up into three student outcomes: Student Agency, Rigorous Academic Preparedness, and Opportunity Knowledge, and several subsets within each outcome. The standards are paired by 6th and 9th grades, 7th and 10th, 8th and 11th, and 12th. Students are introduced to them in middle school, then engage with them again on a deeper level in high school.

This document highlights the specific components and interactive lessons in Xello that support the AVID student outcome: Opportunity Knowledge, including all subsets. Refer to your AVID guides for the standards in their entirety.
